The Annex is a simply charming little cottage and an extension to Tonawathya’s property. It is located on Big Glen western shore and offers picturesque, serene views of the lake and a lengthier stretch of beach for those renting both units. You will enjoy the open space, high ceilings, overlook views of the lake, two cute and spacious bedrooms, a fantastic kitchen, and a deck with a mooring convenient for those with boats. The Annex is closely located to Glen Arbor as well as Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park and The Heritage Trail for those who enjoy recreational activities!
This build brings charm and character for a comfortable stay here and comes with simple furnishings touched by modern amenities for anyone to enjoy. Everyone can enjoy views of the lake from every area of the room with the ongoing windows throughout. With so much space, the Annex is a perfect stay for families or small groups looking for a retreat!
Living Spaces
The main room of the house holds an ample sized open concept floor space with convenient access to everything. The living area offers a large sectional spacious for all to sit comfortably and a TV for streaming your favorite shows or movies! Other seating is available throughout the room for extra room. Being faced at the windows, everyone will get the perfect view of the lake!
Kitchen & Dining
The charming kitchen is very spacious and is equipped with everything you need to cook gourmet meals! And with so much counter space at the island, you’ll have plenty of room for meal prepping. From cooking meals to enjoying small snacks or a simple cup of coffee, this kitchen will satisfy anyone’s needs. A dishwasher is included so that you won’t have to worry about cleaning dishes!
Right between the kitchen and sectional is the charming dining table for 6, plus three stools at the island and extra seating throughout the room. Everyone can enjoy delicious meals in their own space! You also have the option to eat outside with the table for 4, perched under shady trees with a front view overlook of the lake.
Bedrooms & Bath
The Annex comes with 2 spacious, beautiful bedrooms. Between 3 beds and the pullout from the living room, 6 guests can occupy the house comfortably. Each bedroom has its own simple charms. The master bedroom comes with a king sized bed and its own ensuite and access to the deck while the second bedroom comes with two twin beds and a connecting bath. The pullout holds a queen sleeper for extra sleeping space.

Outdoor Amenities
Spend some quality time with loved ones on the beautiful lake beach! The Annex has its own firepit for s’mores and stargazing on cool summer nights. Have your own boat or kayaks or paddle boards? Make a day of it and go out on the crystal-clear water! There is a mooring provided for your boat should you choose to bring one. Take a dip into the water or enjoy watching from the patio chairs or the deck’s dining table. Explore the little town of Glen Arbor or visit the walking trails offered close by. Payment Schedule – 50% due at the time of booking and 50% due 60 days prior to arrival.
Damage Deposit – A pre-authorization of $1,000 is due 2 days before arrival and released 7 days after departure.
Cancellation Policy –Guest receives 97.00% if cancellation occurs at least 60 days before arrival; No refunds within 60 days of arrival.
We love communicating with our guests. To ensure nothing is missed or lost in translation, we are available via email or text. At time of booking, you will be required to read and sign a short-term rental agreement, provide a security deposit and provide a copy of a government issued ID for guest booking reservation. Once check out is complete, no damage is confirmed and it appears all house rules and check out procedures have been adhered to, your security deposit hold will be released. Please note that this may take up to 7 business days.
Due to same day arrival and departures, regretfully, we are unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests. We ask that you do not interrupt the cleaning crew as this will only delay your check-in. The cleaning crew is not authorized to allow anyone access to the property. - No pets of any kind.
- No smoking inside, please use the ash tray out back if smoking. Cigarette butts in the yard will incur extra cleaning fees that will be withheld from your deposit.
- Parties are not allowed as this home is in a quiet neighborhood.
- For insurance and safety purposes, all guests must be listed and accounted for on your reservation/itinerary. No more than the maximum amount of guests may stay at any time.
- It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance when booking our home. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise, weather, illness, emergencies etc, which could cause you to need to cancel your trip or end it prematurely. If you choose not to obtain travel insurance, please know that we will abide by our cancellation policy and no refunds will be provided should you decline to protect your travel. If you book this unit, that action constitutes agreement with this policy. Under no circumstances will guest receive a reduction in rent, be relocated at owner’s expense or be refunded for any equipment or amenity failure. Property manager/owner, upon being notified by guest of any malfunction will make every reasonable effort to have such appliances/amenities repaired. Replacement or repair during occupancy cannot be guaranteed. Issues must be reported to owner within 24 hours of arrival.
