Welcome to the Back Cottage! This simply charming little house is located on the southwest shore of Big Glen Lake among a few other cottages, and only a short drive away from Old Settler’s Park. Whether you’re out and about, enjoying your 100 feet of private frontage, or unwinding in the cottage, your stay is sure to be a comfortable one! This cottage features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a spacious open main floor along with an outdoor table and grill.

Inside is a bright and rustic interior designed for coziness. Hardwood flooring follows almost all throughout the house. The living room has a stone fireplace, which makes it perfect for cooler nights or just to come back to after a day out. With the linens and cooking supplies provided, you won’t need to bring very much to enjoy your stay here!

Living Spaces

As soon as you walk into the cottage, you will be met with a spacious open floor shared between the living room, kitchen, and dining. The living room shares half of the space with one sofa and two comfy recliners. With the fireplace in the corner, nobody will want to leave this area after a long day out! There is a window nearby giving guests a glimpse into the beautiful shady woods and the lakeview. 

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen space takes up the other half wall of the room. It comes with basic appliances such as a stove, refrigerator, and stove as well as a coffee maker and plentiful dishes and utensils to make tasty meals! The kitchen sink comes with soaps and a dry rack to wash dishes with if needed. Anything else you need to store can go in the rustic cabinetry. 

The shiny wooden table is right between the kitchen and living room and seats 4 chairs.This area promises great times and delicious meals!

Bedrooms & Bath

The Back Cottage features two bedrooms, the primary bedroom which contains a king bed perfect for a couple or two individuals to sleep in. The second bedroom houses a queen bed, and a bunk bed, in which 4-5 guests can comfortably sleep. The only bathroom in the house is a hallway bathroom and comes with a shower.

Bathroom: ¾ bath with shower

Outdoor Amenities:

Whip up a fine meal with the grill and enjoy sunny, warm days eating outside! This particular area has so much shade from the plentiful trees surrounding the cottage and a great front view of the beautiful lake! Take the group on the boat for a relaxing water ride, go kayaking on the tranquil evening water, paddleboard, and more! Take a picnic to Old Settler’s Park and let the kids wear their energy out in the park. You are close enough to Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan beaches, and so much more! Your vacation options are endless especially if you stay here.

Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Check-out is at 10am and check-in begins at 4pm.
